Yesterday we began our 12th month of Victory Rallies.  In spite of the threat of rain and a couple downpours we had a fantastic turnout, full of enthusiastic patriots proudly showing their support for our troops and their mission.

Special salute to the 3 youngsters who joined us, Kiersten, Michael and Madeline – you all brighten our day with your presence and smiles and we love your homemade signs and patriotic outfits!

Also special welcome to newcomer Melissa, she’s a proud Army vet, a young mother of 2 young boys and an Iraq War Veteran.  We are always thrilled and honored to have our returning “heroes” join us when they come home.

Also welcome to Al, a Marine veteran who recently finished his hitch.  They both fit right in and made us look good.  Thanks to both of you for your service and for being with us yesterday!

As always we finished with an outstanding rendition of our National Anthem, Pledge, and Prayer for our Troops’ protection and success.

Our Troops continue to give us their all.  They are saving the world.  They are setting the standards of excellence for us.  They dedicate themselves and push themselve – and take care of each other.  And WE are proud to bk them up and recognize them with the support and honor that they have earned and deserve.

To the Troops! To America!

Surrender is not the answer – VICTORY IS THE ANSWER!

  1. It is awsome to see the younger generation out supporting the troops!!!! Kudos to the parents who have instilled patirotism in them.

  2. Yes Jenn, I want to second that emotion. I am not exaggerating when I say that it did my heart good to see Kiersten, Michael and Madeline out there on Saturday.

I can’t tell you how impressed I was with Michael in particular. He stood next to me for a while and (not only held a sign) but had some pretty darn insightful commentary about the other side. I must say what a spectacle it was to witness a child being so much more lucid and sensable than that group of (supposed) adults across the street. As you can imagine–it was both refreshing to listen to Michael but (at the same time) aggravating that a child could have so much more sense than an adult.

That theme sort of validates my thinking all along. Michael is probably 2nd or 3rd grade and the minds of those leftist whack-jobs are (indeed) ‘kindergarten’ level.

Good job Michael and God bless you.

  4. I agree with Mike. Little Michael was the MVS (Most Valuable Sheepdog) last week. He was holding signs, making new signs, and inspiring us all. Summer, you have to bring those kids back. -Mike K.

    “MVS”—Most Valuable Sheepdog”…I love it!

  6. Mike – maybe you and I could give out the MVS award each week. We’ll do it at The Works after the rally. We’ll buy the winner some fries. It’ll be like the coin ceremony without any of the dignity and honor. -Mike K.
