Today we started our 14th month of consecutive Saturdays, standing up for our troops and their noble mission. Our troops are saving the world and they deserve our support and encouragement. They do not deserve to be undermined and hurt by those who politicize their efforts and put party before country. (group shot courtesy of NeoCon).

I just received a great email from one of our troops, a Navy man named Chris.  We are always thrilled to hear from our troops, because they are our greatest patriots.

Thank you for all that you do. I am an active duty sailor currently overseas and I was just mailed the article about your group in the Daily Local. It was amazing to hear such great things are being done. Because being overseas and having the feeling that no one back there cares anymore, it was GREAT to hear that there are people that not only care but are showing they care. It is true that it seems that the anti-war do have the stage. But at least for once the scenery has changed and those that think about how the true soliders, sailors, airmen, and marines truely feel. How we will never quit and will NEVER accept defeat. We will keep fighting until the good fight has been won.

Thanks to one of you for reminding me of Greg Palast’s MUST-reading book -  THE BEST DEMOCRACY MONEY CAN BUY. 

If you don’t think we ALL need to be out working Election Day (in addition to legal professionals), read Palast and remember something: 

The “opposition” in this election will do the same sleazy, underhanded, illegal stuff they’ve been doing now for the past 8 years – every dirty trick in the book, every slimy negative ad, every immoral trick they can think of to prevent voting, every illegal thing they can get away with.

We’re gonna see ads featuring Barack and Michelle Obama throwing bombs, wearing turbans, kissing Rev. Wright’s a%$s, having hammers and sickles tattooed on their foreheads, leading jihads, and eating small children for lunch.

People are going to have their voting rights taken away because their mortgages were foreclosed (this has started), because they’re not the right color, because they can’t prove they  were ever born, because they are wearing Obama pins, and because they’re poor -  or just BECAUSE.

The CCPM says President Bush uses fear.  Well, the CCPM leader is the expert at it  – nobody comes close to Porter’s fear-mongering abilities.
