A dozen American Sheepdogs attended the PLC in Harrisburg this year.  We had an Exhibit Table with buttons and handouts and we shared it with our friends, the PACC (PA Conservative Council).

Sheepdogs were spread out this weekend.  About 10 were at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference in Harrisburg.  Ten attended the military funeral of Marine Anthony Williams in Oxford and the rest came to West Chester to honor America and Our Troops who fight to keep us free from the radical Muslims who have declared war on America.

Some of the sights from this week’s Victory Rally.  All people who love America and don’t blame it are invited to join us every Saturday from 11AM till noon at the Courthouse in West Chester, PA.

The last photo shows Aston with Cathy and Kelly.  Aston has been in the Army for 5 years.  He’s from Coatesville and very recently returned from a 15-month tour in Iraq.  He came to West Chester because he heard about us from Cathy and wanted to see what we are doing to support him and his buddies.  He got there in time to see us sing the National Anthen, Pledge of Allegiance, and Prayer for our troops’ protection and success.  He was very appreciative of what we do and we are always thrilled and honored when one of our heroes is able to stop by and say hello.  Aston joined us for our post rally lunch at The Works.  “Thanks for your service Aston!”

The highlight of the rally was when two Marines, Joe and Dan, saw us.  They said, “We saw the other side walking around chanting and cussing, and it made us so mad, but then we saw you guys and we were so happy to see you, we had to come over and tell you how good you look to us.”

Another young vet walked up to us and shook a few hands, then he moved over the wall and Marine Bob walked up to him and the young vet was crying, Bob said, “Are you okay?” and he said, “I can’t believe you people are out here.”   Our rallies do matter, the troops and their families are tired of seeing anti-victory protestors bash and blame America and undermine our troops.

Joe ran into Jeff, a former Rugby player he used to coach and now a Coatesville Police Officer.  Thanks to all who came out to stand up for America and our troops – what we do matters to them more than we’ll ever know.

Another outstanding rally, full of enthusiastic patriots proudly showing their love for our troops and our country.  We had 3 Blue Star Moms present and some new friends from the Glenn Beck ”We Surround Them” event.   Thanks to all who came out and made it such an uplifting experience, especially at the end when we sang the National Anthem, recited the Pledge of Allegiance and said the Lord’s Prayer for our troops.

The last 2 pictures show blogger Skye doing her thing.  Since Sept 2007 she ‘s been coming from Philly to take pictures, make videos, and provide outstanding coverage of our victory movement.  Check out her take of this week’s rally at her blog Midnight Blue.  It includes an outstanding video.  We thank her so much for all she’s done to support the troops and our rallies.

A reporter from the Daily Local Newspaper showed up to interview both sides.  He spoke to me for quite awhile and to a few other Sheepdogs and then he went to the other side to get their point of view.  It’s always interesting to read the story, you never know what quotes the reporter will use or how he will interpret the rally.

About 50 great Americans showed up at the Stadium Grill in Eagle, PA for a “We Surround Them” party.   We went outside for a group photo and sang a beautiful rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.

This was a Glenn Beck initiative designed to bring regular people together to meet and get to know each other.  We talked about how America has turned away from the values and principles that made this country great.  There are 9 principle and 12 values.  During the show there was a lot of applause, especially when the guests talked about how God and our faith are vital to our lives and our founding fathers built America with a strong Christian foundation.

Another source of loud applause was for all the troops that were featured on the show and their stories of heroism and why they love America enough to want to fight and die for it.

The event was terrific. Most were from Chester County.  Some were veterans and some were military families (Joy’s son did a tour in Iraq and Jean’s husband is currently in Iraq).  Ten Sheepdogs attended and we were able to share what we do in West Chester with our Sheepdog and PACC organizations.  We met several great families.

Special thanks to Kathy and Donna for organizing the event, they did an outstanding job.  Everyone had a good time and we all look forward the next one.  The show will be re-aired on Fox News on Saturday night Mar 14 at 9PM.  Glenn Beck emphasized that we need to be a “9/12″ America – taking action and fighting to keep our country strong and free.  (not a 9/10 America – playing partisan politics and not protecting our country or a 9/11 America – watching our country get attacked).  He underlined how we must stick to our values and principles.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

The Sheepdogs joined the Warriors Watch Riders, A Hero’s Welcome, Leatherneck Motorcycle Club, and other friends in saluting the U.S. Marine Corps Bridge Company B at their drill center in Folsom, PA.  About 200 patriots came to wish them well and thank them as they prepare for their upcoming deployments overseas.

Goldwing (WWR Ride Captain) and I were allowed to say a few words to the Marines.  We told them we were proud of their service and how important it is to America and our freedom.  We formed a huge flag line for them to drive past as they left their base.  It was a magnificent wall of red, white, and blue.  Special thanks to VFW Post 938 in Folsom for hosting an outstanding ”meet and greet” with the Marines.

Thanks also to the wives and loved ones for being there today and letting us thank them for all they do to keep America strong and free.  At the end, we all sang the National Anthem, recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and said a prayer for our troops’ protection and success.   Thanks to all who came out to support these warriors who do the job that must be done.

The annual Conservative Conference (CPAC 2009) was the largest ever.  9000 people attended, including Sheepdogs from the Chester County Victory Movement.  Here’s some photos with friends, new and old. UPDATE: I’ve added people’s names at the bottom of the post.
