WEST CHESTER PRO-TROOP RALLY – 3/26/11
One of our best rallies, saw many old friends and met some new ones. The weather was a bit chilly but the smiles were warm and it felt like a parade.
My mom showed up and held the flag for us as we sang the National Anthem and said a prayer for our troops protection and success.
Several newcomers showed up, including an EMT from Marple Newtown, Gail from Bethlehem, and Maureen’s friend.
Bob stopped by, he’s a Korean War Veteran from West Goshen. We are always thrilled when vets stop and say hello. Sheriff Bunny Welsh, a frequent participant, also showed up.
We signed a birthday card for Greg, a US Marine officer currently in Aghanistan. His parents, Ron and JoAnne, brought the card to the rally and we all signed it. Greg is a 1st LT, this is his second tour in Afghanistan and he just turned 26 years old. He’s done more for his country, faced more dangers and challenges in his young life than most of us have done in a lifetime. We are so grateful to Greg and all our troops and their families. They truly are the best of America.
Our mascot Victor couldn’t make the rally, but its always nice to come home and see him. He loves the troops so much, it makes him want to roll over and dance.
Thanks to all who came out and made it happen. We do these rallies every Saturday from 11AM till Noon, at the corner of High St and Market St in beautiful downtown West Chester, PA. Come join us sometime as we pay tribute to our brave troops.
Thank You Troops! Thank You Military Families! God Bless the United States of America!
