Nick and I went to New York to see Yankee Stadium. The Yankees are very supportive of our military.

They are only team that lets active duty military into the games for free. We met an Air Force Officer with his son and an Army soldier, home from Afghanistan, was there with his daughter.

Since 2004, I’ve been to every Freedom Concert at Six Flags in New Jersey. This was the 7th one, they’ve all been great, but this one was my favorite. I always take my “THANK YOU TROOPS – THANK YOU MILITARY FAMILIES” sign.

The Hannity Freedom Concerts raise money for children of fallen military, they get full 4-year college scholarships. The concerts are wonderful, thousands of patriotic Americans, all there for one purpose – to honor our troops and their families.

While in New York on Sunday, I was able to meet up with our longtime friend and supporter, Pamela Geller.  She says, “What you guys are doing in West Chester is amazing! I love the Sheepdogs.”

Pamela is leading the charge against the 9/11 Mega Mosque being built at Ground Zero.  She says, “Ground Zero is a war memorial, its a burial site.  No Mega Mosque should be built there.”   She is leading a protest against the Mega Mosque on Sunday June 6.   She has been on TV a lot recently, talking about her new organization SIOA (Stop Islamization Of America).  She is a champion, her blog, Atlas Shrugs, is terrific, she puts out the most information on the violence and threats we face from radical Islamic Jihadists.

Order her new book from Amazon.  Read more about it HERE.

People like Pamela Geller are rare.  She is very brave.  She has the courage to say what many people think.  She is a truthteller extraordinaire.  Her blog covers stories that the mainstream media doesn’t.  She has teamed up with Robert Spencer to fight back against organizations like CAIR (the uninidicted co-conspirator funnelling money to terror groups like Hamas and Hezballah) who use our rights to undermine America with their ACLU-like lawsuits against anyone who tries to expose them or disagrees with them.

Here’s what they are saying about The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America

Barack Obama is the most radical individual ever to occupy the White House. This excellent book by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer explains exactly what that means and why its implications are fraught with such dangers for this great Republic.

David Horowitz, conservative activist, coauthor of Destructive Generation and author of Radical Son

Sheer brilliance! The ultimate patriot’s handbook. Sharp, well-written and to-the-point. Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer lay bare Barack Hussein Obama’s radical, anti-America agenda and how to stop it. No true American’s library will be complete without this book.

Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Foreign Influence.

The Czechs, Israelis, Indians and other US allies were the first to realize we were heading toward a post-American world. Now it’s time for Americans to wake up to the realities of this President’s transformation of the country and its global role. Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are two of the most incisive analysts of events at home and abroad, and you could not ask for better guides to where “hope”, “change” and czars are taking us – and what Americans can do about it.

Mark Steyn is an international bestselling author, columnist and leading Canadian human rights activist.

Barack Obama is a revolutionary on a mission to cut America down to size. One size fits all, to be precise. His post-sovereign America is a country no different from any other: economically bankrupt, morally rudderless, with nothing exceptional about it besides the heights from which it tumbles and the remorselessness of its choice – his choice – to decline. With their characteristic attention to detail, clarity and fearlessness, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer assay the wreckage. The Post-American Presidency is must reading for every concerned American who needs to know why we’re in this perilous moment, and where we’re headed if we don’t take our exceptional country back.

Andrew C. McCarthy, National Review legal affairs editor and bestselling author of Willful Blindness: A Memoir of the Jihad

This book is a chilling analysis of how the policy of president Barack Obama is chipping away at the very foundation of America’s leading role in the world. It exposes his philosophy of near universal ‘moral equivalency’; a philosophy that is a dead ringer for the cultural relativism that has been poisoning Europe for the past decades. America is the last man standing and it is vital that the people in Europe adopt the attitude of proud American citizens and learn that it is not shameful to be proud of one’s heritage. This book is incredibly fascinating and at the same time holds a deeply disturbing message — a message we should all take to heart.

Geert Wilders Dutch MP

At a time when the US media – the traditional watchdogs of American democracy have transformed themselves into President Barack Obama’s lapdogs, the new media, on the Internet plays a crucial role in bringing accurate news to the public’s attention. At Atlas Shrugs, Pamela Geller does this on a daily basis. In the Post-American Presidency, Geller shines her laser on President Barack Obama – his life, his values, his friends and his perceptions of the country he leads. What she reports will disturb not only every American who believes in that America is the Shining City on the Hill and that the American people are what Abraham Lincoln referred to as “the almost chosen people.” It should also disturb people around the world who recognize that the international system stops working when the American Atlas shirks the burden of its uniqueness.

West Chester’s Knights of Columbus Council 1333 hosted a welcome home for the heroes of the Stryker Brigade.  About 40 soldiers showed up for free food and beverages.  It was a great patriotic event and our thanks to the Knights for giving these local troops the kind of return home that they deserve. Patriotism is a core value of the Knights.

Former West Chester Mayor Dick Yoder was there. He’s a proud Marine, standing with Matt, who was a Marine for 4 years and has been in the Army National Guard for about 10 years now.

We are so proud of our Pennsylvania National Guard. Thanks for protecting us 24/7. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting and thanks for joining us at the Knight of Columbus so that we could meet you and show how much we care, not just for who you are, but for successfully completing your noble mission in Iraq.

Every third Tuesday about 100 veterans gather for a delicious breakfast at the Exton Diner Family Restuarent. The coffee is great, the waitresses are the best. Its a great opportunity to meet the heroes from the past.

Here’s Don, he’s 89 now, was a combat veteran of WWII.

Don was part of the Dixie Division. He showed photos taken when he was 20 years old (in uniform) and 25 when he got out.  He could’ve been a Hollywood movie star. You can see the Dixie Division “DD” patch  on his shoulder.

These vets are the backbone of America, they know the cost of freedom. The next “Vets Breakfast” will be on Tuesday Feb 2, get there around 7AM. If you’re a vet, consider joining them, break bread together and share stories from days gone by and what we’re doing today.

Veterans Are Our Greatest Patriots

What a great way to learn about the history of our country.  I never knew that Philadelphia had a huge town hall meeting in October 1773 that ultimately lead to the famous Boston Tea Party two months later.  Almost 500 people attended the historical re-enactment.  The weather was perfect, sunny and mild, and everyone was treated to free hot cocoa, cider, and cookies.  Thanks to the Independence Hall Tea Party Association, for organizing the event.

Dr Benjamin Rush, was a Founding Father and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. He was the key figure in leading the citizens to revolt against the “tea tax” in 1773.  He was born in the Philadelphia area (Byberry) and was a reknowned doctor and scholar. He was only 27-years old when he spoke to the people about why they should revolt against the new tax.

Dom Giordano was perfect as Dr Benjamin Rush. He wore a period costume and was led in a procession by the Whitehall Guard Fife and Drum group.   Benjamin Rush’s leadership at the meeting resulted in the people voting for eight resolutions to fight the unlawful and tyrannical tax.

We also learned that two weeks after the Boston Tea Party, there was a Tea Party in Philadelphia and 8000 citizens showed up and were able to stop the British from unloading their tea. The British were forced by the Philadelphians to take the tea back to England.

Afterwards, Dom was very gracious mingling with the people and taking pictures. We thank him for all he does for our community at WPHT 1210AM, the Big Talker.

Thanks to Skye for taking the time and effort to preserve the moment on video. Her video is outstanding. You will hear Dom’s speech and learn how this action helped America become a free nation, with liberty and justice where all men could pursue happiness and life.  To see the video on her blog Midnight Blue, click HERE.

Thanks so much to the Independence Hall Tea Party Association, especially Teri and Don Adams for organizing and getting the word out.  It was a huge success and a fun way for us to learn about our country’s first heroes.

Every 3rd Tuesday, the Exton Diner Family Restaurant hosts a Veterans Breakfast.  Over 100 of our greatest patriots attend.  They come from all over Chester County and beyond.  There are several WWII vets, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, and current.  The commaradarie, spirit, and patriotism fill the air.  I went today and had the best time.  I met a bunch of new friends and it made my day.  One of the guys is a preacher and he’s the unofficial “chaplain” for the group. He read us little story of “The Soldier and the Deck of Cards” – how the soldier used the deck of cards to pray.  He said, “The Ace stands for one God, the 2 is how the Bible is divided into 2 parts, Old and New Testament, the 3 is the Trinity, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and on and on, and how the Queen is Mother Mary, and the King is our Lord, and how the 4 suits represent the 4 seasons, and how each deck contains 365 spots – the days in the year.  He told us to remember our troops at Christmas and we prayed for them.  We also stood and said the “Pledge of Allegiance”.

The waitresses are the best.  They truly love these veterans and treat them like family.

I took close ups of some of the hats.

Frank brought along his Boatswain’s pipe.

The next Vets Breakfast is Tuesday Jan 12.  Get there around 7AM and you will have a delicious breakfast (I had 2 eggs, toast, home fries, and bacon for $3.99).  It’s the next best thing to home cooking in mom’s kitchen.  It’s a great way to share memories and stay in touch with those who helped keep the country strong and free for all of us.

God bless all our Veterans and their families.

The 18th annual Bill of Rights Banquet was at Yoders Restuarant in New Holland.  I sat with Sheriff Bunny Welsh and met many new friends including Carris and Bill Kocher.  The Bill of Rights organization purpose is to remind the world that these are “certain unalienable rights” “endowed by the Creator” to mortal beings made in His image. Bill Kocher is a former Navy Test Pilot and they have 10 children.  I met 5 of their sons, all of them are volunteer firemen and 4 are EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians), they are a super family of patriots and first responders.

Sheriff Welsh chats with guests. We sat at the Patrick Henry table.

On December 14, Curt Schroder held a “Kickoff Rally” as he runs for Congress.  The turnout was overwhelming, standing room only.  People filled every table, and 10 more tables were brought out and still the crowd lined the sides and back.  There was lots of food and terrific speakers featuring Colin Hanna, Bob Walker, and more.  Curt’s speech was electrifying, the crowd roared with enthusiasm and delight.  Curt is a champion, he’ll fight for the people, he’ll make government work for the people.  He’s committed to lower taxes, smaller government, and strong national defense. He spends time with the people, he knows us and we know him.  He has the experience, principles, integrity, courage, and values that we need in Washington.

On Saturday Dec 12th, a nice Christmas Party was organized by Paula and Karen.  The idea was to get together with other patriotic groups like Tea party, 912, Sheepdogs, and others for a night of “unity”.   It was at the firehall in King of Prussia.  120 people attended for a night of food, fun, dancing and patriotism.  DJ Kalaya provided the music, everybody brought a covered dish.  Thanks to all who made it happen.  God bless the USA!
